DONALD William H., of South Boston , age 91, died at home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness on July 13, 2016. He was a retired Facilities Manager for the Boston Public Schools, WWII U S Navy Veteran, avid sailor of 210's, life member of the South Boston Yacht Club, South Boston Youth Hockey Commissioner and Coach, Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan, voracious reader and poet. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Thelma Donald, adoring children Linda Donald and her husband Stewart Wilson of NYC, William F. Donald and his wife Allyson O'Connor of Gloucester, and Kimberly Donald of South Boston, and his beloved grandchildren Emma, Carter and Aidan Donald of Gloucester. He was the devoted son of the late Marion R. (Carter) Donald and George R. Donald of South Boston, loving brother to the late George (Happy) Donald and the late David Donald. Bill will be remembered for his skill as a sailor, his even keel, his kindness, grace, generosity and love for his family.
