Beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Barrett, BFD. Mother of Mary Flaherty and her husband Bob, Paul Barrett and his wife Melissa, Ronnie Mahoney and her husband Leo, Thomas Barrett, Joseph Barrett and his wife Elizabeth, Ann Barrett, Patricia O'Connor and her husband Mathias, Michael Barrett, and Edward Barrett and his wife Michelle. Daughter of the late Mary (Canavan) and Peter Murphy. Sister to Anna Murphy and the late Peter, Thomas, and Joe Murphy. Survived by 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graduate of Cambridge College, former employee of the Boston School Department. Founding member of the South Boston Irish American Society and member of The Castle Island Association.

Visiting hours will be held at the Wm.F. Spencer Funeral Home at 575 E. Broadway,at (Hst) South  Boston on Friday from 4pm-8pm. Funeral Mass to be held at the Gate of Heaven Church in So.
