LAWRENCE BAVIS

BAVIS, Lawrence “Larry” of Boston passed away suddenly on December 1, 2023 at 66 years old. The son of Claire Bavis, and the late Robert E Bavis. Brother of Robert E Bavis Jr. and Paul Bavis. Also survived by his nieces and loving friends.

Larry graduated from Thompson Academy in 1975. He was an accomplished athlete, particularly with regards to baseball. He carried those skills into adulthood and was a star player in the “M” Street Softball League. Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had been employed at Moors and Cabot in Boston at the time of his passing. He loved going to concerts (particularly Springsteen) and talking about the Boston sports teams. Larry was known by his friends as being someone they can always depend on. He was also devoted to his dog Bailey which fittingly is now being cared for by those friends.

Close friends and family may pay their respects on December 18^th, 2023, from 6PM to 8PM at the WM. F. Spencer Funeral Home located at 575 E Broadway, South Boston MA. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
