ELAINE MAHAKIAN

Mahakian, Elaine E. Of Melrose, MA, passed away on April 22, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Melrose/Wakefield hospital, at the age of 80. Born to Homer and Gladys (Malloch) MacCutcheon on December 29, 1933 in Melrose, MA. She was happily married to John M. Mahakian for 40 years. Elaine was predeceased by her two brothers Ralph and Kenneth MacCutcheon. Elaine lives on through her brother Richard (Karen) MacCutcheon, sister Janet (Clyde) Smith, sister in law Anita MacCutcheon, four sons, Gerald (Debra) DiMinico, Stephen DiMinico, Mark DiMinico and Matthew DiMinico, three grandchildren, Bianca, Jason, Alicia and her one great grandchild Gianna. Elaine gave her love and devotion to many, including Julie Gillcrist and her daughters Elizabeth and Emily, Mary Vincent and family, as well as her longtime friends Phyllis D'Alelio and Dorothy Camerlengo. Elaine was a member of the Melrose Arts and Crafts Society and her love for cooking, and gardening was only surpassed for her love of Eastport, Maine. Services will be private.
