Shields Donald F. "Pops" was born in Boston, on Oct. 30, 1939 to the late Joseph C. and Theresa (Alyward) Shields Coleman Beloved Husband of Margaret Anne (DeLellis) for 56 Years, they were married on Nov.15, 1964 and they lived and raised 5 children in the west Broadway Housing Projects. He will be remembered as a great family man. He was the greatest Husband,Father,Papa and friend.Donald was a skilled laborer for most of his working years for Donald Clancy & Sons, asbestos removal & demolition were his specialty. He also enjoyed working with his "Brother Joe" cleaning windows on skyscrapers for Shields Window Cleaning & Clancy Window Cleaning. Donald's favororite past times were spending times with his family. Papa had treats put aside for all the little ones. He had numerous animated stuffed animals for the babies to play with.All family members gathered in Papa's room and sat with Papa on Papa's bed. He loved to walk from his home, Lower End to Castle Island and back.He loved the beach and the natural resources around South Boston.He loved carson beach, it was his "Cape Carson". Walsh, Heather L. Walsh, Declan M. Walsh, Thomas G. Walsh, Erin "Ryanne" Walsh, Mark A. and Holly A. Parece. Great Grandchildren Joel, Jolena, Athena James and Pop's newest arrival Ryanne Ruth. Also survived by Sisters and Brother in law, many Nieces, Nephews, great Nieces and Nephews and his abundance of unbiological Grandchildren and many friends..
